RECOMMENDED CHOICES
The Walker Group Picks

# 3 OKAIRY M. 8/5

# 1 ZALAMERA 2/1

# 5 SINCERIDAD 7/2

I think OKAIRY M. is a quite good choice. Overall the Equibase Speed Figs of this equine look very good in this race. Castro should be able to get this filly to break out quickly in this race. Must be given a chance - I like the figs from the last race. ZALAMERA - With better than average trips to the winner's circle, Berrios will almost certainly have this filly in excellent position to win the competition. Berrios will almost certainly be able to get this filly to break out quickly for this event. SINCERIDAD - Well above average win rate at this distance/surface. She has been running quite well lately while recording strong Equibase Speed Figures.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES
The Walker Group Picks

# 8 EMMA'S GIFT 5/1

# 6 NO BID KIP 3/1

# 2 ART DESIGN 6/1

EMMA'S GIFT has a formidable shot to take this race. Could provide positive returns based on strong recent Equibase Speed Figures with an average of 61. There is a quite good chance that this entry's late pace will improve with second time Lasix. Ranked high in earnings per start at the distance/surface in this bunch. NO BID KIP - With better than average trips to the winner's circle, Simington ought to have this filly in excellent position to win the contest. Has been racing soundly and has among the best speed in the race for today's distance. ART DESIGN - Had one of the most favorable speed figures of this group in her last race.

#5 DIABLO SEVEN (ML=8/1)

DIABLO SEVEN - This filly faced open company last time out. Moving into a restricted state bred today. Is well worth a look. Was in a $15,000 Maiden Claiming race at Remington Park last time around the track. That race had an Equibase class figure of 57 and she is moving down right here. A certain contender. This filly's last speed fig is high enough to win here, I'll bet on her back again in today's event. I think that the addition of the 'shades' today will keep her mind on the race at hand.

Vulnerable Contenders: #7 CAT'S MY GIRL (ML=2/1), #6 INDIAN RIVER DOLL (ML=3/1), #8 BANT AMMI (ML=4/1),

CAT'S MY GIRL - She showed not much at all in the last clash. Today's race is 5 1/2 furlongs. Hasn't hit the board in a short distance affair in the last couple months. Not the best of omens. INDIAN RIVER DOLL - Likely won't make much of an impact this time out. BANT AMMI - This horse hasn't been hitting the board in either of her last two races around the track. This filly hasn't had any recent good results in sprint contests. No picnic to play her in this event.

Top HatGUEST COMMENTARY: Winston - DIABLO SEVEN - A longshot with the top TrackMaster Power Rating. What more could you ask for?

Race #7 - Rating = 2

#10 Lofty Ambition - Fair odds 5/2
#9 Gelila - Fair odds 5/2
#3 Ricketyracketruss / #12 Picture Perfect - Fair odds 5/2 (uncoupled entry)

Exacta: Box 3,9,10,12

Lofty Ambition won the only time she raced down this tricky, specialist's hillside turf course, in October, going long two since since and now cutting back on the trainer change to Jones, with the best post (the outside) for this trip and with a big shot of returning to winning form with a repeat of that previous downhill effort.

Gelila comes back from 3 months off, last seen winning in career start #2, at a mile on this course, also getting a good outside post and with a decent shot to be rallying strongly at the end for her 2nd career win.

Ricketyracketruss and Picture Perfect both come from the Sadler barn, the former last seen a year ago winning at 9 furlongs on this course and with a big 1:12 and change workout so suggest she could pick up where she left off, Picture Perfect having just won down the hill in an open claimer 2nd off the Sadler claim and with a big shot to be competitive right back if she gets in from the also-eligible list.

#6 BEE LINE'S EDGE (ML=5/1)

BEE LINE'S EDGE - Like the way this gelding's finish positions keep getting better. That's a sure sign of improving form. Arguello is right back for another race today after sitting atop this animal for the first try on January 12th and ought to know the ropes to this one a little better.

Vulnerable Contenders: #5 ST. MAXIMUS GATO (ML=5/2), #2 BECKY'S KITTEN (ML=3/1), #7 WEEKEND WILDCAT (ML=9/2),

ST. MAXIMUS GATO - The Brain always warns me to stay away from horses in sprint affairs that haven't hit the board in short distance events lately. BECKY'S KITTEN - Not likely for this thoroughbred to do much running with no recent success in a short distance race. WEEKEND WILDCAT - Last out it was a nice victory, but in this one the stretch is going to be a true test of courage.

Top HatGUEST COMMENTARY: The Brain - BEE LINE'S EDGE - Racing pattern would suggest this horse is fit for today's race. Should perform well in this race.
