TrackMaster now provides a full listing of Thoroughbred & Quarter Horse RSS feeds as well as Harness RSS feeds.

While we do not provide customer support for RSS feeds and readers, we thought you might want a little more information as to what they are and why you might care about them. With that idea in mind we offer the following information for you.

What is an RSS Feed?
An RSS feed is simply a way for a web site to let its users know when there is new data to be viewed.
Many different web sites use this technology to let users know when there are new items to peruse.

Why do I care?
As a TrackMaster customer you can choose which tracks or tracks you would like to be notified for and then when that data is posted to our web site, the RSS feed will be updated.
At that point whatever method you use to view your RSS feeds (see below for more info on some options) will let you know that the files for your track are up.

How do I use these feeds?
There are several ways of viewing/using RSS feeds.
  • You can either use My Yahoo or Google Reader to view the feeds in your web browser (there are many other web based RSS readers, these are just two of the most popular).
  • You can also use one of several stand alone RSS readers you can download (if you search Google for RSS reader software you will find several options for stand alone readers to view the data.
  • There are also services that will allow you to get RSS updates via email or as text messages on your phone.
When you click on one of the RSS feed links on either the page listing Thoroughbred & Quarter Horse tracks or Harness tracks the dialog below will pop up with tabs which will let you choose to have email notices sent out or have the notices sent to your phone (you can also choose which reader you want to view the data in from the dialog).
