Race card files for TrackMaster software come in an executable (.exe) format and need to be saved to specific directories in order for them to work properly. When downloading off the web site you will need to change the save in location as outlined in the instructions below.

1. From the menus on TrackMaster home page, choose the product for which you would like to download a race card file.
2. Click "download race cards" for the screen where you will select the file type, track and date you desire, and then click the button to download the file.
3. You will be prompted to enter your user id and password as issued by TrackMaster, remember they are case sensitive.
4. Once your id and password have been authenticated by our system you will see the "message of the day" screen.
5. In the middle of this screen look for the words "click here to download the file you selected" located in a colored box.
6. Click this link and a dialog box will appear asking what you would like to do with the file. Always choose to save this file to your computer. The file should be downloaded and saved to the subdirectory for whichever product you have as illustrated below:
   
   c:\hmplus\rcdata - (TrackMaster Plus)
   c:\hmwin\rcdata - (TrackMaster Basic)
   c:\hmpp\rcdata - (TrackMaster Past Performances)
   
   
   

After you are done downloading all the race cards you desire, close down your internet web browser and start up your TrackMaster software program. The race cards you downloaded will be available by clicking on the "change" icon inside the program.

Race card files in the pdf format are automatically handled and displayed on your screen by the Adobe Acrobat Reader Software. If you have not already downloaded this program, click here. Follow the step by step process below to view the race cards correctly.

1. From the menus on TrackMaster home page, choose the product for which you would like to download a race card file.

5. In the middle of this screen look for the words "click here to view the file you selected" located in a colored box.
6. Click this link and after a brief wait the Adobe Acrobat Reader program will start up and display the race card file on your screen automatically

TROUBLESHOOTING - If you get a blank screen after attempting to view a race card there is likely a problem with your internet web browser and the Adobe Acrobat Reader working together. To fix the problem please re-install the Adobe Acrobat Reader software and completely shut down and restart your computer. In the meantime, you may try hitting the refresh button on your web browser and waiting a few minutes. If this does not work go back to the "message of the day" screen and right click with your mouse on the "click here to view the file you selected " link and choose "save target as". You can then save the file to your desktop and open it from there with a simple double click on the icon.

TrackMaster results charts files come in a special comma-delimited format and need to be saved as text files in order for them to work properly. When downloading off the web site you will need to first set up the correct file type extension as outlined below.

1. Before saving charts online from your web browser, open up your Windows Explorer by clicking on the "Start button" and choosing "Programs" from the menu list, then clicking on the Windows Explorer icon.
2. In Windows Explorer, click on the "Tools" menu and select "Folder Options".
3. Click on the "File Types" tab at the top on this box and then click the button "New".
4. For the "File Extension" type the letters A07, where 07 stands for the year during which the chart races were run. If you are downloading older charts from previous years simply change this number to 06, etc.
5. Under "Details" for the new file type extension that was created click the "Change" button to specify what type of file this is and that your computer should use a text editor to open it.
6. The click the "Advanced" button and place a check mark next to the box which reads "Always show extension".
   
   
   

After you are done performing the tasks outlined above click the "Apply" button then the "Close" button and you are set to start downloading TrackMaster Results Charts.
